Shift Manager

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, but is a separate company and employer. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters.

Managers lead shifts weekly, ensuring customers get a fast, accurate, friendly experience. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers, ensuring quality, service and cleanliness. Shift Managers perform tasks such as:

• Planning each shift
• Monitoring performance during the shift
• Taking action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards
• Monitoring safety, security, and profitability
• Communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare them
• Helping assigned departments meet their goals
• Meeting targets and overall shift goals

• Food Safety
• Internal Communication
• Inventory Management
• Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness
• Managing Crew
• Quality Food Production

• Safety and Security
• Scheduling
• Training

Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment. Candidates must be 18 years or older. Positive team players with flexible schedules are desired.
