Position Details
Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service (Pawnbroker) –
Location:
802 W. Moore Ave, Terrell, TX 75160 – Pay range: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour (based on experience).
EZCORP is looking for motivated retail sales associates to provide excellent customer service and support its pawn and retail operations. The role offers a paid training program, competitive wages, uncapped bonus potential, and benefits. The position is an entry‑level role that advances through certification, lead, and assistant manager pathways.
Responsibilities- Interact with customers daily, facilitating sales, loans, extensions, and pawn agreements for jewelry, electronics, musical instruments, and other items.
- Provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Process sales, loans, and store credits accurately, using the point‑of‑sale system.
- Perform opening and closing store duties, including cash handling and loss prevention.
- Assist in inventory management, merchandising, and visual displays.
- Collaborate with team members to meet or exceed daily performance targets.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test (post‑offer).
- Knowledge of commonly pawned items (tools, jewelry, firearms, electronics) is a plus.
- Sales experience is a plus.
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
You will begin as a Trainee in a 5‑week paid training program, earning a $0.50 hourly raise and promotion to Pawnbroker upon completion. Continued advancement can lead to Pawnbroker Certification (+$1/hr), promotion to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and eventually to Assistant Manager through a 6‑month training program that builds store‑running skills.
