JOB OVERVIEW

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills. You will establish retailer relationships, collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally, you may work with other brands in the stores you service.

SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS

Your starting hourly pay rate will be $12.00 - $14.00
, depending on your skills and experience.
Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
Hallmark part‑time employees may be offered voluntary benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role consists of three major components:

Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. You will use technology for daily work, communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, managers, and customers is essential.

Holiday support: Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, additional days and extended hours may be required. On holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, you may need to work on the actual holiday, including weekends.

Department resets: At times, you may join a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. You will typically receive notice two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.

Team collaboration: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you will work within a network of merchandisers who often support each other across territories.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are at least 18 years old.
You can read, write, and understand English.
You can repeatedly lift and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
You can operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents.
You have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
You have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
