Senior Meat Cutter

As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources, communicate effectively, and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service. Be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain inventory levels and control shrinkage.
• Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage and backroom operations. Process meat according to specifications for cutting, slicing, grinding and wrapping, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines and inventory management. Operate, maintain and sanitize equipment.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality with the member in mind. Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Drive the business results ensuring commitment to operational excellence. Plan for profitability, maintain a work area according to company policies, ensure quality and standards for high‑volume meat products, eliminate waste, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled and stored.
• Act as a talent ambassador, advocate for the department and the club, model high‑quality service and products, execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality, interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in their training.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity. Implement action plans using the Open Door Policy and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers and partners; identify priorities, deadlines and expectations; communicate progress and recommend improvement opportunities while learning from change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

• Six months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period.

• Meat Processing Area experience.
