Spare Parts Salesperson – Overview
MAAG Pump Systems aims to support the polymer, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries with high‑grade gear pumps, pelletizing and filtration systems, and pulverizers.
Responsibilities- Process domestic and international spare parts and warranty orders, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Prepare quotes for spare parts and compile recommended parts lists for new and existing equipment.
- Serve as first‑line contact for customer inquiries, routing complex technical questions to the appropriate department while handling part requests.
- Issue return authorizations based on guidelines and track physical returns.
- Apply commercial pricing to quotes and orders, ensuring accuracy in discounts and shipping costs.
- Maintain up‑to‑date filing and documentation; research equipment history for upgrade/Change‑Out requests.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
- Willingness to learn basic equipment manuals and identify parts.
- High accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Polite, professional phone and email presence with a drive to solve customer problems.
- Ability to quickly learn company‑specific software (ERP/CRM) and internal workflows.
- Proficiency in calculating simple margins, discounts, and totals for quotes.
- Team‑player attitude; comfortable working across departments.
- Primarily office work, with occasional time spent in a factory environment.
- May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise; PPE required.
- Requires verbal communication and hearing; frequent interaction with teammates and customers.
- Primarily sedentary; frequently sit for extended periods and focus on a computer screen.
Mandatory:
High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year in a customer service role.
- Familiar with large rotating equipment.
- Efficient in Word and Excel.
- Conveys technical information clearly in both verbal and written channels.
- Manages high‑volume workload with attention to detail; prioritizes tasks effectively.
- Self‑starter who identifies potential bottlenecks or errors and implements solutions independently.
- Strong work ethic and team‑first mentality, sharing knowledge to achieve collective goals.
- Demonstrates commitment to the customer experience with urgency, empathy, and solutions‑first approach.
English 100 %.
