Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Hot Springs National Park, AR
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and professionalism. This is a driving post and requires an armed guard card or license and a valid in‑state driver's license.

- Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a government location by carrying out Allied Universal security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying conditions that may require attention.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including de‑escalation when appropriate and coordinating with site leadership and/or local public agencies as directed.
- Control access at designated entrances, verify identification and/or authorization, monitor key areas, and follow post orders for screening, restricted areas, and visitor management.
- Document and report security‑related activity, incidents, and patrol findings in a clear and timely manner, and maintain required armed post readiness in accordance with applicable laws, licensing, training requirements, and site policies.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A minimum of 3 or more years of military police, corrections officer, armed security, and/or certified law enforcement graduate experience is required.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
