Flex Security Officer – On call / as needed role in Troutville, VA.

Pay rate: $18.00/hr with weekly pay.

• Provide trained, competent security coverage by working shifts that open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes.
• Support continual, uninterrupted service to customers while protecting the health and work balance of personnel.
• Read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and act quickly and efficiently according to these directives.

• Current VADCJS License.
• Prior experience in a customer service role.
• Prior security, military, and/or law enforcement experience is a plus.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Great report writing skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent; DCJS Registration.

• The Flex Officer position is crucial to operational and financial success, providing trained support by filling shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
• You will be trained at various posts/facilities based on operational need. Some posts may be temporary, and schedules will vary accordingly.
• You will be assigned or offered shifts as they become available. Some shifts may be scheduled in advance; others may require short notice.
• You must be available to work shifts within your described availability and communicate any unavailability to your supervisor.
• For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts you are called for; refusing more than 20% may affect employment status.
