As a Security Officer Access Control in Palmyra, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential location where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and help manage resident and visitor entry with professionalism and care. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thu 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a residential location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying visitor information, processing guest and vendor entry, and documenting arrivals, departures, and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters through proper channels when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around residential common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, noting conditions that could impact the property and reporting concerns promptly.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
