Security Officer Unarmed Part Time

Position: Security Officer Patrol Driver – Unarmed, Part Time – Big Island, VA.

Location: Big Island, VA

Schedule: Monday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Tuesday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Saturday 11:00 PM–11:00 AM.

Pay: $18.50 per hour.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, with attention to access points and restricted areas.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries, helping to support site access protocols and reporting issues involving badges, gates, doors, and/or unauthorized activity.
• Observe workplace conditions and equipment areas for potential hazards, policy concerns, and/or maintenance‑related issues, and report findings through appropriate channels to help support orderly operations.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
