Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team in Hinton, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Valid electrician license or certification as required by Virginia state law.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
