Glenmary Family Farm Partnership is a diversified, family-owned agricultural operation located in Rapidan, Virginia. Our farm combines tradition with progressive management practices across multiple enterprises, including a commercial cow/calf herd, stocker cattle, feedlot operations, and registered purebred Angus cattle. In addition, we manage row crop production and poultry, allowing for a dynamic and fast-paced agricultural environment where no two days are the same.
We take pride in animal care, operational efficiency, and hands‑on livestock management rooted in experience and integrity.
We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our Cow Crew. This is a hands‑on cattle position that plays a critical role in the daily management and performance of our beef cattle operations.

Key Responsibilities- Daily care and management of cow/calf, stocker, feedlot, and purebred Angus cattle
- Herd health monitoring, treatment, and preventative care programs
- Record keeping using digital platforms such as Cattle Max and Performance Beef (iPad and computer-based systems)
- Assisting with breeding program management, including heat detection and artificial insemination (AI experience preferred)
- Equipment operation, fence repair, and general farm maintenance
- Hay and straw production support
- Pasture management and rotational grazing practices
- Supporting overall farm operations across multiple livestock and crop enterprises
- Proven beef cattle experience
- Strong knowledge of animal health, nutrition, and breeding
- Ability to follow instructions while also working independently
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with heat detection and artificial insemination (AI)
- College degree in Animal Science or related field
- Prior experience in diversified livestock operations (cow/calf, feedlot, stocker systems)
- Familiarity with herd management software (Cattle Max, Performance Beef, etc.)
We are also willing to send the right candidate to AI school for training and development.
