Master Welder III

Location: Richmond

SUMMARY

The Master Welder III serves as the shop's advanced welding specialist and technical expert. This position performs critical welding applications, supports procedure development, and provides technical leadership for welding operations.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Perform MIG, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW

* Perform advanced welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

* Ability to successfully carbon arc gouge

* Produce x-ray quality welds for critical applications.

* Assist with WPS development, qualification, and implementation.

* Support quality investigations and welding procedure improvements.

* Train and certify welders.

* Serve as technical advisor during fabrication planning.

* Lead specialty welding projects.

Successful candidates will have:

* Extensive multi-process welding experience.

* Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve NDT acceptance.

* Experience with pressure vessels, critical structures, or specialty alloys preferred.

* Advanced blueprint and welding code interpretation.
