Position: 91C Utilities Equipment Repairer
Location: Cedar Bluff

Job Overview

Join the Army National Guard as a Utilities Equipment Repairer to keep operations running smoothly on and off the battlefield.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair utilities equipment and special‑purpose support systems.
  • Inspect, test, and repair electric motors and electric instruments.
  • Inspect and repair electrical equipment, replace worn gaskets and sealings in watertight electrical equipment.
  • Repair gasoline engine systems, air conditioner electrical systems, and portable heater fuel/electrical systems.
  • Inspect and repair air conditioner electrical and vapor systems, refrigeration units, and fire extinguisher recharging systems.
Training and Career Development

The role includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training focused on electrically powered equipment repair.

Skills gained can lead to a civilian career in hospitals, manufacturing, government agencies, or even self‑employment as an electrical tool, motor, and equipment repairer.

Qualifications
  • Enlistment in the Army National Guard.
  • At least a junior in high school, or a high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Age between 17 and 35.
  • Ability to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
  • Citizenship as required by the Army National Guard.
