Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Journeyman Carpenter to support complex building maintenance, construction, and repair initiatives within a professional, fast‑paced environment. This role goes beyond traditional carpentry, offering the opportunity to lead projects, collaborate cross‑functionally, and make a visible impact on large‑scale facility operations. Key Responsibilities- Perform construction, installation, alteration, and repair of buildings, equipment, and furnishings
- Build custom cabinetry, shelving, and specialty items
- Conduct preventive maintenance across building systems and furnishings
- Lead and manage building maintenance projects, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors
- Review blueprints and technical documentation to ensure accurate execution
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Diagnose structural issues and recommend repairs, upgrades, or improvements
- Oversee and maintain equipment maintenance programs and checklists
- Train team members on equipment use and maintenance procedures
- Provide technical guidance across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, maintenance)
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and safety regulations
- Assemble, disassemble, and repair furniture, fixtures, and partitions
- Proven experience performing at the Journeyman Carpenter level
- Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, tools, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Experience managing or supporting projects and vendor coordination
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and on a team
- Ability to lift and handle materials/equipment 50+ lbs
- Valid driver’s license required
- Completion of a Carpentry Apprenticeship Program or equivalent training
- Experience in commercial maintenance environments
- High school diploma or equivalent
The pay rate for this position is between $30.00 and $41.75 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
