Our client is looking for an Apprentice Electrician who supports the successful execution of electrical work in the field by assisting the Lead Electrician, maintaining job readiness, completing assigned tasks, supporting documentation, and progressing through hands‑on training. This role is designed as a development position for someone building the skills, judgment, and technical knowledge required to advance into an independent electrician role.
The Apprentice creates value by helping the lead stay productive, keeping materials and routine supplies ready, completing assigned work safely and correctly, and steadily increasing skill level so more work can be performed independently over time.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Field support and job readiness- Support the Lead Electrician in daily job execution by preparing materials, tools, and routine supplies needed for assigned work.
- Pull and load materials from the shop when directed.
- Monitor common van stock and consumables such as tape, straps, wire nuts, and similar items, and communicate shortages before they disrupt work.
- Help ensure materials are accessible, organized, and where they need to be on the job.
- Perform assigned electrical tasks under the direction of the Lead Electrician, including basic installation, pipe running, cleanup, and other field work appropriate to skill level.
- Complete work to company standards for quality, neatness, and safety.
- Take on progressively more independent work as skill and trust increase.
- Support productive workflow on the job site so the lead can stay focused on higher level work.
- Assist with field paperwork as assigned, including timesheets, work orders, and related job documentation.
- Help ensure required paperwork is completed accurately and turned in on time.
- Communicate material needs, job progress, and field issues clearly to the Lead Electrician.
- Learn directly from the Lead Electrician through daily field experience, coaching, and increasing responsibility.
- Build working knowledge of the electrical code, company work standards, and basic installation methods.
- Participate in structured training activities, including codebook study, task‑based learning, and skill progression planning.
- Work toward increased independence, licensure, and future readiness to lead work or operate a van.
- Follow company safety practices and job site requirements at all times.
- Keep work areas clean and presentable during and after work is performed.
- Use tools and equipment responsibly and report issues when materials, tools, or conditions create risk.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Trade school coursework or demonstrated interest in electrical work preferred.
- Strong desire to learn the electrical trade and advance into a higher‑skilled field role.
- Able to follow direction, work safely, and perform physical field work.
- Basic comfort with paperwork, mobile tools, or digital systems preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred based on job assignment needs.
