GFL Environmental (Green For Life) is looking for a skilled, high-energy Diesel Mechanic to join our crew in West Point.

Starting at $30+/hr depending on your experience.

Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain our heavy-duty diesel trucks, CNG equipment, gas vehicles, and rolling stock.

Utilize modern diagnostic software alongside classic hand and power tools to pinpoint and solve operational difficulties.

Use the M5 planning system to schedule repairs, track work orders, and procure the exact parts you need for a flawless fix.

Maintain a spotless work area and ensure all equipment strictly complies with federal, state, and company safety regulations.

Minimum of one (1) year of hands‑on experience as a diesel mechanic. Experience with diagnostic software is a massive plus.

High school diploma or GED; a technical diploma is highly desired.

You possess, provide, and maintain your own set of tools necessary for heavy/hydraulic equipment maintenance.

Computer literate, eager to learn new software, and physically capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 100 lbs when the job demands it.

A strong communicator who works well independently, follows detailed instructions, and maintains an excellent safety track record.

Our shop is loud, active, and fast‑paced. You’ll be exposed to varying weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and standard shop environments. It’s a true safety‑sensitive role where your visual and mental focus keeps everyone safe.
