Solar Installer
We are seeking dedicated candidates to assist in the installation of solar panels, torque tubes, racking, hucking/bombing, kitting, QA/QC, and trash cleanup for the mechanical build of a solar farm. The ideal candidates will have experience with Nextracker technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of solar panels and mechanical components.
- Participate in the installation of torque tubes and racking systems.
- Perform hucking/bombing and kitting tasks.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Ensure site cleanliness through trash cleanup.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of mechanical installation experience.
- 3+ years of solar installation experience.
- 3+ years of construction experience.
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.
- Experience with solar panel modules and racking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Nextracker technology is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a mechanical crew.

Work Environment
Work on a 100 MW solar site as part of a mechanical crew responsible for installing racking systems, torque tubes, and panels. Collaborate with approximately 80 workers, working 5-6 days per week for around 50 hours. Start your day at 7 AM, working in various weather conditions. Benefit from a weekly per diem of $20 per day, with hotel accommodations covered, except for unexcused lateness or absences.

This is a Contract position based out of Chatham, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
