Job OverviewWe are seeking hard working fabrication and installation technicians to join our Water Systems Fabrication & Installation crew. This position is responsible for assisting in the construction, installation, and maintenance of wastewater/water treatment systems and related liquid handling systems.
This position requires frequent travel, out of state and local, including overnight and extended periods over weekends (for installations).

- Experience with welding (plastics and/or metal pipe or structural), using power tools, construction work, troubleshooting, or related trade skill is required
. - Welding certification is desired but not required.
- Production or construction work and project schedules
- Reading and interpreting P& drawings, schematics, specifications, and written instructions
- Working on a customer work site for construction or installation‑related tasks
- Basic mechanical tasks for assembly and repair
- Fabrication: metal, plastic
- Plumbing and piping and other liquid conveying parts and equipment such as pumps and valves
This position must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license and must maintain a driving record acceptable to local authorities and Pro Chem insurance carriers. Moreover, this position is subject to pre‑employment and random drug screening.
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentThis position works in a variety of conditions, including both indoor and outdoor activities during a variety of weather conditions. This individual will be exposed to noise from machinery and a variety of odors.
Work hours will vary and overtime hours will be required based on the needs of the project. Travel, including overnight and often extended travel, is required. This position works with and/or around energized equipment, fabrication tools and machinery, corrosive chemicals, pressurized equipment, confined spaces, and industrial machinery.
This position requires moderate activity with bending, stooping, lifting, and ladder work. Individuals in this position will be working with their hands and feet. They will work around electricity, water, plumbing equipment, and a variety of chemicals used for water treatment. Telephone communication is an essential part of the job expectations. This position may require flexibility in work hours, vacation, and other schedule considerations to successfully support company needs.
