Mechanic

The basic function of this position is to work closely with other team members to complete assigned repair and maintenance tasks on time, under budget, and within tolerance in a manner that aligns with Procon, Inc's values and goals.

This position will be a manual labor position and the ability to follow directions is needful. This position will require common sense, logical thought processes, and the ability to work in a safety conscious manner. This position requires the employee to wear all required PPE.

Essential functions of this position:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repair

Required ability to diagnose and repair issues with various models and makes of vehicles
Requires mechanic skills with different types of motor vehicles
Perform all required maintenance on trucks, equipment, and tools
Perform all required repairs on trucks, equipment, and tools
Paint and auto body repair

Clean up/organization

Clean and organize shop, storage area, shelves, and mechanical room on a regular basis (at the end of every work week and as often as needed)
Keep shop bathroom clean and stocked
Keep shop and wash pad trash cans empty (at the end of every work week and as often as needed)
Clean wash pad and pressure wash shed on a regular basis (at the end of every work week and as often as needed)
Pick up all trash in shop, around shop, around the wash pad, and along Industry Blvd. on a regular basis (at the end of every work week and as often as needed)
Sweep gravels off of the shop apron, concrete pads in office parking lot

Securing parts/other needed items

Order fuel as needed (on road diesel, off road diesel, and gas)
Order parts as needed (oil filters, brakes, etc.)
Order fluids as needed (oil, antifreeze, etc.)

Delivery

Make deliveries to jobsites on an as needed basis

Additional Responsibilities:

All other duties required by Leadership or your Supervisor
Follow all policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook and Corporate Safety Program
The physical demands will be standing, walking, crouching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and bending for long periods of time on a regular basis. This job will require a full range of body movements including but not limited to, the full use of hands, feet, arms, legs, back, and torso; the ability to push, pull, and lift. Must be able to lift and carry 100 lbs repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing.

Excellent eyesight, with or without correction, is necessary. Work will be conducted under various weather conditions and temperatures such as extreme heat or cold and will be primarily outdoors.

Qualifications, Competencies, and skills:

Driver's license preferred
5 years experience required
Paint and autobody repair preferred
