Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Finish Line Construction is seeking a highly experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for a challenging project in Westmoreland County, Virginia. This project is expected to last approximately one year, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term, stable employment.

We are open to hiring either:
* Local candidates, or
* Candidates willing to relocate (per diem provided for qualifying employees).We complete projects throughout the state of Virginia and are looking for someone interested in building a long-term career with our company.

This is a demanding position, and we are only considering high-quality operators. Candidates will be required to demonstrate their equipment operating abilities on-site before being hired.

Candidates must be highly proficient operating excavators in challenging environments.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Various Project Locations Throughout Virginia

Schedule:

Monday-Friday (Typically 8-10 hour days)

Reports To:

Foreman### Responsibilities
* Operate medium-sized excavators proficiently and safely.
* Operate dozers and other heavy equipment.
* Manage stockpiles and load dump trucks.
* Excavate and construct bioretention facilities, ponds, sediment basins, and other earthwork projects.
* Clear and grub trees and vegetation.
* Muck out and regrade ponds.
* Operate multiple types of equipment including:
* Excavators (mini and medium)
* Dozers* Skid steers
* Wheel loaders
* Tractors* Morooka tracked dump carriers
* Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance before operation.
* Assist with manual labor when equipment operation is not required.
* Travel to out-of-town projects during the work week as needed.### Qualifications
* Extensive experience operating excavators is required.
* Experience operating dozers preferred.
* Reliable transportation to project meeting locations.
* Ability to travel for projects throughout Virginia.
* Willingness to work overtime when needed.
* Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
* Valid driver's license required.
* Experience towing trailers with company F-250, F-350, or F-450 trucks is a plus.### Benefits
