Fiber Technician

We are hiring Fiber Technicians to support large-scale data center projects in the Richmond area. This is a great opportunity for individuals who have hands‑on experience working with fiber optics, structured cabling, telecommunications, low‑voltage systems, construction, or related trade environments. Previous data center experience is not required. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, safety‑focused, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced construction environment.
Responsibilities- Pull, route, and install fiber optic cable.
- Assist with fiber terminations and testing activities.
- Label, organize, and document cabling installations.
- Read basic prints and installation drawings.
- Install cable pathways, trays, and support systems.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow all site safety requirements and procedures.
- Work alongside project teams to complete installations on schedule.
- Support commissioning and deployment activities within data center environments.
- Experience working with fiber optics, telecommunications, structured cabling, low voltage, construction, electrical work, or a related trade.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to lift equipment and materials throughout the workday.

The ideal candidate is someone who has had exposure to fiber or cabling work and wants to develop a long‑term career in the telecommunications and data center industry. Whether you have worked on construction sites, pulled cable, installed low‑voltage systems, assisted with fiber projects, or worked in telecom environments, we'd like to speak with you.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sandston, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
