Shop Mechanic - Wakefield, VA

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Follow all safety and shop procedures.

• Mechanical experience (fleet, diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

• Proven experience as auto mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g., lift).
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals, etc.
• Excellent physical condition.
• High school diploma preferred; certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship preferred.

Must meet I-9 requirements.
