Location: Clear Brook

Transteck, Inc. is one of the largest Freightliner Truck dealers in the United States with 14 locations and 4 body shops. We have over 200 trained technicians, an inventory of more than $7,000,000 in parts, and state‑of‑the‑art facilities. Our size allows us to provide best‑in‑class training and equipment while maintaining a personal touch at each site.

We have an immediate opening for a Diesel Technician at our Freightliner of Winchester dealership. Salary ranges from $40,000 to $100,000 per year.

Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must provide own hand tools
Position Preferences
  • Commercial driving license
  • Heavy‑duty truck experience
  • Technical training school or equivalent experience
Technician Duties
  • Determine cause of malfunction using manufacturers‑approved troubleshooting guides, test drive, or online/printed service manuals as necessary
  • Promote sales of labor, parts, and accessories to meet customer needs
  • Perform requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment
  • Document work performed and applicable technical information
  • Note additional needed work and obtain approval before proceeding
  • Clean all parts that have been worked on and keep customer vehicles clean
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of personal work area
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Order parts according to dealership procedures
  • Tag all warranty parts and return all dirty cores to parts in a timely manner
  • Perform repairs in a timely manner set by the manufacturers' standard repair time guidelines
Important Requirements

Must pass background check, criminal records check, physical exam, and drug screen.
