Lead Security Systems Technician

Active Security Consulting LLC seeks a Lead Security Systems Technician to oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems for high-profile clients. Working within our Technical & Maintenance team, you will lead site surveys, system design input, low-voltage wiring, device programming, and troubleshooting for networked security platforms. You'll supervise technicians, ensure compliance with security best practices, and collaborate with consultants to align systems with risk assessments and threat mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems
• Plan and oversee technical security projects from site survey through commissioning
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and networking issues in security systems
• Ensure compliance with security, safety, and low-voltage standards and best practices
• Train, mentor, and supervise field technicians and subcontractors
• Document system designs, wiring diagrams, configurations, and service records
• Collaborate with consultants and protection teams to align systems with risk assessments
• Coordinate with clients on technical requirements, timelines, and change requests
• Perform periodic system health checks and preventive maintenance
• Support after-hours or on-call response for critical system issues when required
