Senior Mechatronics and Robotics Technician

Amazon is hiring a Senior Mechatronics and Robotics Technician to keep our advanced warehouse and manufacturing systems running at peak performance. In this hands-on role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and optimize robotics, conveyors, and PLC-controlled equipment, driving safety, uptime, and throughput. Partner with Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management to execute root-cause analysis, implement continuous improvements, and support new technology rollouts. You'll mentor junior technicians, document standards, and use data to anticipate failures in a fast-moving, customer-obsessed environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain robotics, conveyors, sorters, and automated material handling systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, sensors, servos, VFDs, and industrial networks.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance using data and condition monitoring.
• Execute root-cause analysis and implement corrective and continuous improvement actions.
• Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new robotic and mechatronic equipment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management on reliability and uptime initiatives.
• Document maintenance procedures, work orders, and technical standards in CMMS.
• Mentor and train junior technicians in safe, best-practice maintenance methods.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, LOTO procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with operations to minimize downtime and optimize system performance in a high-volume environment.
