Mechatronics & Robotics Technician
The Mechatronics & Robotics Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs automated material handling systems, including conveyors and robotics, within a large, high-speed distribution facility. This role focuses on predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability.
Responsibilities- Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment (MHE), including conveyors
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) routines and complete required documentation
- Conduct battery changes and preventative maintenance on battery systems
- Accurately enter downtime data and complete daily logs and PM sheets
- Manage and complete work orders within a CMMS system
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes
- Utilize basic electrical knowledge to diagnose and repair components
- Track and maintain department inventory, including spare parts
- 2+ years of experience performing predictive and preventive maintenance
- 2+ years of experience repairing MHE or automated conveyor systems
- 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics
- 2+ years of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles
- 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards
- 1+ year of troubleshooting and diagnostics experience on MHE systems
- 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office products
- High School Diploma or GED

The role is based in a large, highly automated facility of approximately 70,000 square feet, featuring about 14 miles of conveyors and a rapidly expanding fleet of robots, growing from around 30 units to hundreds. The environment centers on high-speed material handling, automation, and robotic systems, supported by pneumatic equipment and advanced control systems.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Rockville, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $64040.00 - $64040.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
