Job Title:
Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and enhancing electrical and mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment. Your role will entail working independently from problem identification to implementation, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Diagnose root causes of recurring equipment downtime and implement corrective actions.

  • Support and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment including RS500, RS5000, and Siemens.

  • Install and integrate new electrical, control, and automation components.

  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, drawings, and prints.

  • Fabricate and install panels and system improvements as required.

  • Maintain accurate documentation including as-built drawings, PLC programs, and spare parts.

  • Coordinate installations to meet manufacturing requirements and GMP standards.

  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Communicate effectively across shifts and departments.

  • Follow all company policies and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical troubleshooting and PLC troubleshooting.

  • Experience with 3‑phase electrical systems.

  • Knowledge of NEC and OSHA compliance.

  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance skills.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and project coordination.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Certified Electrician or Journeyman Electrician preferred.

  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods or lean manufacturing environments is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work in an indoor manufacturing and production setting. Part of the plant is climate-controlled while the other part is not, providing a dynamic work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
