Shift: Monday‑Friday, 3:00 PM‑11:30 PM
Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed

What You'll Do

As a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician I, you'll support the maintenance team by assisting with repairs, inspections, and general maintenance activities throughout our compost and soil production facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs on conveyors, screens, pumps, motors, and production equipment
  • Support senior technicians during troubleshooting and equipment repairs
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and inspections
  • Maintain organization of tools, parts, and maintenance work areas
  • Identify and report equipment issues, breakdowns, and safety concerns
  • Assist with facility maintenance projects and equipment improvements
  • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Learn mechanical systems, maintenance processes, and equipment operation
  • Support continuous production by helping minimize equipment downtime
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands‑on work
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
  • Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
Preferred Experience
  • General labor, maintenance, construction, manufacturing, landscaping, farming, or industrial experience
  • Experience using power tools, hand tools, or mechanical equipment
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices
  • No extensive maintenance experience required. We will train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow.
Work Environment
  • Heavy equipment and industrial machinery
  • Conveyors and processing equipment
  • Dust, dirt, mud, and outdoor conditions
  • Compost, mulch, soil, and organic materials
  • Loud industrial environments
  • Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and work on uneven terrain
  • Use hand and power tools safely
  • Perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment
