As part of the Power Plant Mechanic Advancement Program, these professionals will perform mechanical work on electric power generating equipment and support plant operations. • High school diploma or GED and three years related mechanical work experience, OR vocational training/military service, OR equivalent combination of experience and training
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read and interpret operations and safety manuals
• Ability to analyze and apply basic troubleshooting and repair techniques
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must pass background check, hearing, and drug test
• Willingness to work outside in adverse weather and noise environments
• On-call availability 24/7 on a rotating basis
• Overtime as required

• Mechanical knowledge, preferably in diesel engines
• Power plant experience
• Any technical certification or training
