Germanna Community College is a public, open‑access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. The college serves students across the region and seeks a full‑time Financial Aid Advisor to work in the Financial Aid Office at the Locust Grove Campus. The successful candidate will provide direct assistance and support services to staff and students in person, virtually, and by phone.

• Assist students and families with financial aid options and process federal, state, and institutional financial aid applications and files in accordance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
• Provide direct assistance and support services to staff and students in person, virtually, and by phone.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including assistance in emergency declarations by the Governor.
• Travel to other campus locations as required.

• Ability to handle a complex and detail‑oriented workload.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to working with diverse colleagues, students, and community members.
• Experience in a post‑secondary education setting, preferably a community‑college financial aid office.
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).

Full time, Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Salary range: $44,392–$49,325 annually plus full state benefits.
