Foster Care Development Specialist

Health Connect America, Inc. seeks a Foster Care Development Specialist to recruit, train, and support foster families providing therapeutic care to children and adolescents. In this role, you will conduct outreach, orientations, and home studies; coordinate licensing and ongoing training; and coach foster parents to maintain safe, stable, and compliant homes. You will collaborate closely with clinicians, case managers, and community partners in a compassionate, client-centered culture that values integrity, teamwork, and professional growth while improving outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and screen prospective foster families within assigned region
• Coordinate and deliver foster parent orientations and pre-service training
• Support foster homes through regular contact, coaching, and crisis response
• Ensure compliance with state, agency, and accreditation standards
• Collaborate with clinical, case management, and community partners
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports in electronic systems
• Participate in home studies, re-certifications, and quality reviews
• Assist with matching children to appropriate foster homes
• Contribute to outreach, events, and community education efforts
• Engage in ongoing professional development and team meetings
