Foster Care Certification Specialist

Pressley Ridge seeks a Foster Care Certification Specialist to recruit, assess, and certify foster families within a trauma-informed, family-centered model. In this community-facing role, you will conduct home studies, deliver pre-service and ongoing training, ensure compliance with state and licensing regulations, and support caregivers to provide safe, nurturing homes. Working within a collaborative, mission-driven culture, you will partner with interdisciplinary teams, receive robust training and supervision, and directly impact the stability and well-being of children and youth in local communities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and screen potential foster families through outreach and community engagement.
• Conduct home studies and assessments to certify and re-certify foster homes.
• Provide pre-service and ongoing training to foster parents using trauma-informed, evidence-based curricula.
• Ensure compliance with state, licensing, and agency regulations and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with caseworkers, clinicians, and community partners to support stable foster placements.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and data in alignment with agency and regulatory requirements.
• Offer coaching and support to foster families to enhance caregiving skills and placement stability.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development activities.
