Overview
Kastle Systems is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team in Falls Church, VA to help us grow and support our internal tools.
As a Kastle Systems Software engineer, you will have an opportunity to contribute to our award winning
* highly available and distributed platform that is deployed on platforms ranging from microcontrollers, headless Linux IoT controllers, datacenters, and the AWS and Azure clouds. Our products work to keep people safe while adding convenience and providing excellent customer service to the building managers and enterprise customers that use our Security-As-A-Service platform.
The successful candidate will be one who is looking to make a big impact in the company in which they join. This position will play a hands on role in building and supporting the internal Kastle toolset that is used 24/7 by Kastle operations staff to provide the highest level quality of service and support to our customers. This position will be perfect for someone who enjoys being exposed to a variety of technologies up and down the technology stack, including database, application, and front end layers.

Responsibilities- Support and expand Kastle’s internal applications, generally written in PHP, C#, and Java Script
- Provide internal integration support for Kastle’s API's.
- Support the relational database (SQL Server) to which the system's are backed, through procedure reviews and performance analysis
- Problem-solve issues and help to develop and improve systems to meet business needs
- Work with QA to maintain adequate test coverage of Kastle’s applications and business rules
- May be required to take part in On-Call rotations
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar degree that provides a solid foundation in computer programming.
- 3-5 years experience in application development using C#.
- 3-5 years experience in front end development using HTML+CSS and Java script, with popular libraries and frameworks such as jQuery/Bootstrap, Angular/React, Vue.js, or others.
- 3-5 years experience working with relational databases (SQL) – preferably SQL Server, including but not limited to: performance troubleshooting, stored procedure design/review, data analysis.
- 1-2 years experience with CI/CD workflow in a cloud container orchestration environment (Kubernetes).
- Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal US English communication skills.
Preferred:
- 1-2 years experience incorporating Ai prompting into the development workflow to maximize development velocity.
- Experience programming in Python and PHP.
