Rolls Royce Motor Cars seeks a Software Systems Controls Engineer to design, implement, and validate control software for ultra luxury vehicle systems. You'll develop embedded control algorithms, integrate sensors and actuators, and optimize performance, safety, and reliability for chassis, powertrain, and comfort features. Partnering with cross functional engineering and manufacturing teams, you'll create robust models, perform calibration and diagnostics, and support testing from prototype to series production in a craftsmanship driven, quality focused environment with strong links to BMW Group.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded control software for vehicle systems.
- Develop and tune control algorithms using model-based tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and ECUs into vehicle architectures.
- Perform HIL/SIL testing, calibration, and diagnostics of control functions.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Translate system requirements into software specifications and test cases.
- Support prototype builds, validation, and series production issue resolution.
- Document designs, changes, and test results following quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity guidelines where applicable.
