Position Summary

Lake Monticello is seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Pool Manager to help oversee daily operations at the Lake Monticello Pool. This role supports the Pool Manager in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-run aquatic facility for residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with daily pool operations, including opening and closing procedures

* Support supervision, scheduling, and oversight of lifeguards and pool staff

* Help enforce pool rules, safety protocols, and emergency procedures

* Respond to member questions and concerns in a professional, customer-focused manner

* Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance feedback

* Monitor pool conditions, cleanliness, and equipment; report maintenance issues

* Step in as acting manager when the Pool Manager is unavailable

Qualifications:

* Minimum age: 18 years old

* Current lifeguard certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

* CPR/AED and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)

* Prior pool, recreation, or supervisory experience preferred

* Strong communication and leadership skills

* Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations

* Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to stand for extended periods

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

* Ability to work outdoors in summer weather conditions
