as well as other duties assigned by the manager Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily The requirements listed below are representative of the competencies andor ability required Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Schedule 7am complete Monday Friday Pay 1750hour Essential Tasks and Responsibilities Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures

Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas oil water tires lights or brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition

Report on any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles

Properly document goods delivered or loaded

Load and unload trucks

Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers

Maintain records such as vehicle logs records of cargo or billing statements in accordance with regulations

Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions

Report delays accidents or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles using telephones or mobile two way radios

Safe Vehicle Operation Operate and maneuver company vehicles such as box trucks and delivery vans following all traffic and safety regulations

Material Handling Load unload secure and move products safely using hands arms pallet jacks and forklifts

Warehouse Operations Knowledge Understand basic warehouse processes including receiving picking staging and inventory handling

Customer Service Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries and pickups

Physical Stamina and Strength Perform tasks requiring physical endurance including lifting carrying walking stooping and balancing while handling materials

Communication Communicate clearly with supervisors team members and customers via phone text email and in person

Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Conduct pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections and identify equipment issues to maintain safety and compliance

Time Management Plan routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules to meet deadlines and meet customer expectations
