- $0.51 per mile + $17.50 dump fee per load

- Compensation includes mileage pay plus a dump fee for every completed load, rewarding productivity and performance.
As a CDL A Driver at McGill, you'll help transport organic materials and finished compost products between customer locations and company facilities. Your work supports a process that transforms organic waste into valuable products that improve soil health, support agriculture, and promote environmental sustainability. This is a position for drivers who value safety, professionalism, and reliability. You'll be entrusted with operating company equipment safely while representing McGill on the road and at customer locations.
WhatYou'll Do
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, dump trailers, roll-offs, and walking floor trailers
- Transport organic materials, yard waste, and finished compost products
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Complete required DOT logs, inspection reports, and load documentation
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Maintain consistent communication with dispatch and operations teams
- Ensure loads are secured and transported safely
- Assist with loading and unloading activities when needed
- Deliver excellent customer service at all locations

- Valid Class A CDL
- Safe driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekends as needed
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- 1+ year of CDL A driving experience
- Experience with dump trailers, roll-offs, walking floor trailers, or similar equipment
- Experience in waste, recycling, construction, aggregate, or hauling operations
- Basic mechanical knowledge and equipment familiarity
- Show up on time and ready to work
- Prioritize safety in every situation
- Communicate professionally with customers and teammates
- Take pride in maintaining clean, safe equipment
- Manage their routes efficiently
- Take ownership of their responsibilities
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity
