Position: MATERIALS HANDLER with Security Clearance
Location: Yorktown

Duties
* You will be responsible for determining the specific materials to be re-warehoused and consolidated.
* You will work independently with assigned functional responsibilities for a major commodities segment in a large warehouse.
* You will organize and coordinate all materials receiving operations.
* You will ensure the appropriate authority is advised of materials having serious discrepancies.
* You will comply with all established safety, environmental, equipment use and security requirements.
* You will use automated equipment to enter and extract data. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

The ability to perform the duties of a Materials Handler as demonstrated by experience, working under normal supervision, such as:
1) Receiving, selecting, storing, stacking, and rotating materials under the first in first out (FIFO) concept using common hand tools and materials handling equipment;
2) Scanning bar codes and/or inputting receipt information into automated record systems;
3) Re-warehousing and consolidating materials as directed;
4) Reading warehouse plans;
5) Ensuring materials data is correct on materials to be stored against currently stored materials in the warehouse locations;
6) Correcting discrepancies or ensuring corrective action is taken;
7) Transporting or forwarding materials from the receiving areas to storage locations;
8) Annotating and signing receiving and other control documents, verifying items listed match items received.
