As a Project Manager of Single-Family Housing Development, you'll help bring affordable home ownership opportunities to families throughout the San Joaquin Valley, transforming ideas into homes and vacant land into thriving neighborhoods.
Depending on skill, education, and experience, the right candidate may be hired at any level of Project Manager (1, 2, Sr.)
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manageassigned single-family housing development projects from site acquisition and planning through construction and closeout.
- Coordinateplanning, entitlement, design, permitting, and construction activities toensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Assist with site evaluation, due diligence, market research, environmentalreview, financing pro formas, operating budgets, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with city and county planning departments, public works agencies, utilityproviders, and regulatory agencies to obtain project approvals.
- Supportsubdivision developments, infill housing projects, land use and mappinginitiatives, and redevelopment opportunities.
- Reviewcivil, architectural, landscape, and engineering plans to ensure compliance with project requirements and agency standards.
- Assistin resolving entitlement, permitting, utility, easement, floodplain, andother development challenges.
- Preparescopes of work, requests for proposals (RFPs), bid packages, consultantagreements, and development contracts.
- Coordinate the work of architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors, and otherconsultants throughout the development process.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and development milestones while preparing reports and project documentation.
- Presentproject information to internal leadership, public agencies, community groups, and governing boards as needed.
- Work collaboratively with Development, New Homes, Finance, Asset Management,and other internal teams to support successful project delivery.
Must Haves
- Demonstratedability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of multiple stakeholders.
- Experience developing or reviewing project budgets and financial pro formas.
- Abilityto analyze complex information and develop practical solutions tochallenging project issues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Abilityto build productive relationships with consultants, contractors,regulatory agencies, and community partners.
- Abilityto work independently while collaborating effectively as part of amultidisciplinary team.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,PowerPoint) and the ability to learn project management software.
