Ballet and Jazz Instructor

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Program Dates: September 21, 2026 – October 30, 2026
Days: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays
Time: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Grade Level: 7th–8th Grade

We are seeking an energetic, creative, and dependable Ballet & Jazz Instructor to lead an engaging dance program for 7th and 8th grade students. The instructor will introduce and strengthen fundamental ballet and jazz techniques while creating a positive environment where students can build confidence, coordination, musicality, and self-expression.

The ideal candidate has experience in ballet and jazz dance, enjoys working with middle school students, and can make instruction both educational and fun for dancers with varying levels of experience.

• Lead engaging ballet and jazz dance lessons for 7th–8th grade students.
• Teach age-appropriate ballet and jazz techniques, terminology, and movement.
• Guide students through proper warm-ups, stretching, technique exercises, and dance combinations.
• Introduce choreography and help students develop rhythm, coordination, balance, flexibility, and musicality.
• Adapt instruction to accommodate different skill and experience levels.
• Encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and positive self-expression.
• Provide clear demonstrations, instruction, and constructive feedback.
• Promote proper technique and safe dance practices.
• Maintain a positive, organized, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Arrive on time and be prepared for each scheduled session.

• Experience in ballet and jazz dance required.
• Previous dance instruction, coaching, mentoring, or youth program experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic ballet and jazz techniques and terminology.
• Strong communication and group management skills.
• Patient, energetic, dependable, and comfortable working with middle school students.
• Ability to engage both beginner and more experienced dancers.
• Must be available for the scheduled program dates and times.
