Dental Assistant Instructor

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced dental professional to serve as a Dental Assistant Instructor at Milan Institute. In this role you will shape the next generation of dental assistants through instruction, mentorship, and clinical oversight.

• Develop and deliver engaging lectures, presentations, and demonstrations on topics such as dental anatomy, radiology, infection control, chairside assisting and dental materials.
• Provide hands‑on laboratory training, helping students develop technical skills and confidence.
• Supervise and support students during clinical rotations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and professional standards.
• Assess student progress via exams, assignments and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
• Stay current with developments in the dental field and incorporate industry trends into the curriculum.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, collaboration and critical thinking.
• Mentor and advise students on career guidance, study techniques, and overall educational journey.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to improve curriculum and instructional methods.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3‑5 years of experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, procedures and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to varied learners.
• Passion for education and commitment to student success.
• Ability to give constructive feedback and support student growth.
• Adaptability to diverse teaching settings and student needs.
• Current certification or licensure as a dental assistant is preferred but not required.
• Prior teaching or instructional experience is a plus.
• Computer skills necessary.

Day and evening positions, with partial work‑from‑home/remote schedule.
