Sequoias Community College District is seeking a qualified and equity-minded candidate to fill a full-time, tenure‑track position in the Architecture Department beginning August 2026.
This position is located on the Tulare Campus. The Architecture program plays a critical role in meeting regional workforce demand in drafting, construction, energy, and infrastructure sectors by preparing students for entry‑level employment, apprenticeships, and industry‑recognized certifications. Participation in the governance of the Sequoias Community College District by way of committee assignments is encouraged. The Architecture instructor provides high‑quality instruction in architecture to support student transfer, workforce preparation, and career advancement.
The instructor delivers curriculum aligned with industry standards, and regional labor market data, while advancing innovation and student success. This faculty position supports the college's Career Technical Education mission through applied learning, industry engagement, and continuous improvement driven through Perkins V and Strong Workforce initiatives. Assignments may include evening classes and teaching at any of the Sequoias Community College District Campuses:
Visalia, Hanford and/or Tulare. Participation in the governance of the Sequoias Community College District by way of committee assignments is encouraged. College of the Sequoias offers lecture‑lab pay parity, as well as overload and large lecture compensation that may be additional. COMMITMENT TO EQUITY:

- Provide instruction in accordance with established course outlines and expectations.
- Provide instruction in lecture, lab and/or evening formats as assigned.
- Ensure lab safety compliance, including OSHA‑aligned practices and equipment maintenance.
- Integrate industry codes and evolving technologies into curriculum.
- Develop curriculum design; review and update courses every two years.
- Build and track student learning objectives.
- Maintain currency of the program: industry standards, technology, tools, labor market information, certifications, curriculum, and program review.
- Develop program review at a minimum of every two years.
- Create and/or enhance industry advisory committees.
- Connect students to job and internship opportunities.
- Coordinate use of instructional aides/student workers.
- Maintain required number of office hours per course to meet student needs.
- Participate in the governance of the college via committee assignments.
- Coordinate with staff and faculty in other divisions on events and complex facilities.
