General Description

College of the Sequoias accepts applications for part‑time adjunct faculty pools to teach History within its Social Science Department continuously. Screening committees conduct the screening of candidates. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview. If the department does not urgently need candidates, applications remain in queue for consideration until a need arises, or for one year in active status.

Part‑Time

Adjunct Pools

Assignments may include weekend and/or evening classes at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center. Duplicate submissions are allowed; only the most recent will remain active for one year. Positions are temporary and do not accrue rights to tenure.

Job Duties

Adjunct faculty will provide comprehensive classroom instruction under the direction of a dean or director, teach face‑to‑face classes, and collect/submit data on student learning objectives as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for all disciplines are outlined in “Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges.”
