High School Teaching Positions
Chesterton Academy of the Holy Hearts is seeking talented and dynamic high school teachers with a passion for Catholic liberal arts education to join us for our inaugural school year. Experience with classical education or a "great books" curriculum is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to teach an array of subjects within the disciplines of science, mathematics, literature, history, theology, philosophy, and the fine arts.
Both full-time and part-time applicants are welcome for the following subjects:
- Theology
- Philosophy
- History
- Literature
- Latin
- Euclidean Geometry
- Algebra II / Trigonometry
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Art (studio and art history and theory)
- Drama / Debate
- Ballroom Dancing
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant academic field is required.
- Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred, in addition to familiarity with and enthusiasm for Catholic classical education.
- A practicing Catholic who is able to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated alignment with the mission and vision of Chesterton Academy.
- Willingness to be an active participant in school life, including daily Mass, retreats, student mentorship, the House System, and school events.
- A teacher who sees education as a vocation and demonstrates a spirit of service, magnanimity, and joyful witness to the faith.
