Under the direction of the Dean of Student Services or designee, perform a variety of professional‑level duties in support of student conduct, student grievances, and student crisis support. Incumbents gather or review information or data concerning student grievances or student conduct and discipline matters.
The Resolution & Advocacy Department (RAD) serves as the district‑wide program of student rights and responsibilities, including the student disciplinary process and student grievances, complaints, feedback, and appeals resolution. The position coordinates the operations of the RAD, a cross‑functional group responsible for case management of student behavior and support resolution. The incumbent works within a case management system specifically for resolution & advocacy.

- Perform a variety of professional‑level student‑services duties in support of student conduct/discipline, student rights/grievances, student behavioral intervention, and conflict resolution with minimum supervision involving a high level of independent judgment and personal initiative.
- Assign cases via the "Tell A Giant
- Report It" link, conduct research and analysis of conduct/disciplinary actions, student grievances, and complaints following all applicable policies and procedures. Work within the case management software. - Assist on ongoing and complex caseloads of student conduct/discipline, student rights/grievances, and related incidents to achieve prompt, effective, and equitable remedies.
- Collaborate with the RAD Chair to create weekly agendas, take notes at meetings, and keep track of all RAD agendas.
- Coordinate policies, procedures, and operational processes related to student rights and responsibilities, including disciplinary procedures, behavioral intervention and support, grievance resolution, and appeal hearings.
- Respond to verbal or written inquiries or complaints regarding student conduct, discipline, rights, or grievances. Forward complex issues to the Dean of Student Services or designee and provide a high‑incident report summary to senior management.
- Conduct fact‑finding on reports of student grievances and misconduct. Present findings, prepare and edit reports and correspondence, and make recommendations for follow‑up or further action, including restorative justice resolutions.
- Facilitate informal resolution of student grievances.
- Coordinate review, assessment, and responses to reports of student behavioral concerns.
- Gather, analyze, organize, and compile documentary evidence from multiple sources for fact‑finding, state and federal agency responses, administrative hearings, and informal resolutions.
- Maintain confidential case files and logs on reports of misconduct, grievances, and concerns via the online case management system; keep abreast of new functionality, update procedures, and best practices.
