Job Summary

Arconic is searching for an Estimator to join the Kawneer Business in Visalia, CA for the US division of Building & Construction Systems (BCS). The Estimator ensures accurate review of incoming customer requests for pricing, entry into the system, and maintains communication with customers, order pursuit activities and project negotiations.

• Prepare material proposals and take-offs for Kawneer products from customer supplied lists, elevations, and architectural plans/specifications.
• Interact with customers and sales representatives on quote follow-up, order changes, product‑related issues, and customer claims.
• Provide required levels of service to customers where Kawneer is the preferred supplier.
• Coordinate and collaborate with employees and other internal resources on complex projects.
• Develop knowledge of and regularly use the Kawneer product portfolio and price book.
• Use JD Edwards / KaluCAD applications to calculate price concessions based on established guidelines.
• Act as a primary point of contact on phone inquiries, ensuring 100% “live call” response and customer assistance without frequently forwarding calls to other front‑end employees.
• Learn to schedule orders based on standard lead times or Production Control.
• Other duties as required for business needs.

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
• 2-5 years of experience in the Construction Industry (estimating, drafting, project management, etc.).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility required at hire; visa sponsorship not available.

• Associate or Bachelor degree from an accredited institution.
• 5-10 years of work experience in the construction/architectural industry.
• 5-10 years of cost estimating experience.
• Previous experience providing cost estimates for Curtain Wall / Window Wall products.
• Experience using JD Edwards and/or KaluCAD.
• Ability to visualize design concepts from Architectural Plans.
• Experience negotiating.
• Ability to calculate engineering loads on single and double window spans.

The base salary range for this role is $45,000–$60,000. The range depends on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range is one component of total compensation. Other rewards vary by position and location.
