Job SummaryDeliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying customer needs and providing advice on financial solutions that best meet those needs.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver a seamless customer experience and achieve business objectives.
- Lead proactive engagement with existing customers and prospects, providing needs‑based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
- Conduct needs assessments that determine appropriate financial solutions and preferred banking channels, recommending tailored solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, home financing, and small business solutions.
- Advise clients on available digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
- Support customer transaction needs based on traffic and deliver accurate data entry and lending application recommendations in compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to protect the bank’s assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, following sound credit granting principles.
- Probe to understand personal banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions and programs into conversations to provide strategic advice.
- Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness, and take initiative to find creative approaches that personalize each customer’s experience.
- Seek opportunities to enhance the overall customer experience and contribute to business results.
- Work at multiple branches or through various channels as market needs change, with a flexible weekly schedule.
- Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard assets, protect privacy, and act in customers’ best interests.
- Stay current on the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and product knowledge.
- Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering, complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Handle escalations, analyze issues, and determine next steps within set rules and limits.
- Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience; post‑secondary degree in a related field desirable.
- For Canada:
Registration to sell investment products completed (as appropriate). Appropriate lending qualifications and designations. - Strong knowledge of personal and small business customer needs, retail investments, and lending products.
- Experience in financial services and consultative customer service or sales roles.
- Confidence in using social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport and connect with customers.
- Aptitude for listening, problem‑solving, and flexible, creative response to new challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, collaboration, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Pay range: $41,714.00 – $69,000.00 (Salaried). The range may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
