QUALIFICATIONS
  • License /Certification

    Required:

    Heartsaver AED
  • Education Required:

    High School diploma
  • Experience Preferred:
    Patient care experience
  • Testing Must pass the Physical Capacity Exam (PCE)
  • This exam includes a 50-pound lifting requirement
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Essential Transports patients throughout the hospital as assigned
  • Delivers lab specimens, as needed, to Laboratory
  • Picks blood products from Laboratory and delivers to the floor
  • Responds to Code Blue, Rapid Response and Code Grey
  • Safely delivers medication
  • Assists in turning and repositioning of patients
  • Bed exchanges- transfers patients onto specialty beds
  • Sets up bed extenders
  • Acts as a Super User for Lift Equipment
  • Conducts Lift Equipment training for Kaweah Health Orientation
  • Acts as a Super User for Safe Patient Handling and Lift Fair
  • Sets up and removes Over Head Trapeze and Traction
  • Uses Tele-Tracking system
  • Coordinates appropriate equipment redistribution
  • Cleans equipment after use and provides general equipment cleaning
  • Accompanies patients that do not require assistive device for ambulation
  • Additional Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area
  • Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs
  • Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Pay Range $20.00 -$30.00
