Application Analyst III – Kaweah Health

Provides excellent customer service by assisting with implementing solutions, maintaining and supporting assigned applications. Application Analysts study the organization’s current information systems and procedures and design information systems solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively. They bring business and information technology (IT) together by understanding the needs and limitations of both.

Responsibilities
  • Functions as a team lead, mentor, and coach for Application Analysts I and II.
  • Provides training and suggestions to team members as needed.
  • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of information system applications, including scheduling updates of new releases of vendor-supported applications.
  • Utilizes expert troubleshooting skills to understand root causes and help identify solutions.
  • Provides consultation to help solve problems related to supported applications and workflows.
  • Supports multiple customers and complex systems using technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving expertise.
  • Evaluates and troubleshoots reported system issues, service requests, data retrieval requests, system performance problems, and optimization opportunities, and participates in timely resolution.
  • Identifies system enhancements and works with the team to evaluate and implement them as appropriate.
  • Develops, maintains, and shares documentation of assigned applications for troubleshooting, building, and training of other ISS team members.
  • Writes test plans and tests systems to evaluate system functions and operating efficiency; tests configurations, customizations, and new releases before production implementation.
  • Functions as a project leader for information system implementations and support, coordinating resources and timelines and ensuring project tasks are on time.
  • Facilitates the resolution of application errors within the ISS-approved SLA, maintaining issue documentation and ticket status in the helpdesk ticketing solution.
  • Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction through constant communication and problem resolution, and keeps the ticket queue low.
  • Works non-standard and extended hours during project implementations.
  • Collaborates with ISS team members, customers, partners, and vendors to design, build, test, and maintain applications to optimize system configuration and increase productivity.
  • Identifies system changes and communicates them to customers, affected team members, and downstream vendors.
  • Interacts with clients to analyze their business needs and recommends application solutions.
  • Assists with identifying and developing application workflows and gathering user requirements, translating non-technical business requirements into application specifications.
  • If assigned to Pharmacy, coordinates resolution of pharmacy technology problems related to hardware, printers, servers, and databases; assists with maintaining and supporting pharmacy information systems and automation equipment; provides 24x7 on-call application support.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology or a healthcare-related field.
  • At least six years of experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting clinical, revenue cycle, human resources, financial, and supply‑chain applications in a complex setting.
  • Experience as a team lead and overseeing large projects with successful timeline management.
  • Experience managing projects using standard project management skills, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience supporting Cerner or Workday applications.
  • Health‑care experience and expert-level knowledge of all applications supported by the team.
  • Four ISS management-approved certifications or equivalent training in scope/support, and maintenance of all required certifications within three years of original certification.
  • When assigned to Pharmacy, current pharmacy technician license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred (equivalent combination of post‑secondary education and experience may be substituted).

Pay Range: $38.17 – $57.26
