Job Opportunity

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for customer site installation, commissioning, training, retrofits, service, and preventative maintenance. Projects range from a few days to four weeks. When not at customer locations, technicians handle platform testing, customer support, and in‑house support for other departments.

  • Participate in and complete all required training, including domestic and international assignments.
  • Perform maintenance on JBT Marel’s leased equipment as directed by the Service Supervisor or Service Manager.
  • Maintain customer‑owned equipment within the scope of JBT Marel’s responsibility.
  • Avoid customer downtime due to equipment failure at customer plants.
  • Calibrate leased and sold equipment and automation systems.
  • Maintain parts inventory, update GMS, order parts, and report shortages in the organized stockroom.
  • Submit reports to JBT Marel and customers as directed.
  • Assist in equipment installation.
  • Manage overhauls of sold and leased equipment to JBT Marel and customer standards on schedule.
  • Collaborate with all JBT Marel departments to ensure effective communication between the customer site and JBT Marel.
  • Promote and maintain a positive business relationship with the customer to advance JBT Marel’s brand.
  • Adhere to customer‑specific regulations and safety regulations.
  • Gain knowledge of customer‑leased and sold equipment used in citrus processing, cleaning, sterilizing, and filling operations.
  • Attend customer meetings on juice room operation and related equipment.
  • Report sales opportunities to the Service Manager and Sales Director.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Field Service Technician, preferred.
  • Associate’s (AS) or Associate’s of Applied Science (AAS) degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness to travel as requested by supervisor or required by job expectations.
  • Carry a company‑provided cell phone at all times for customer emergencies.
  • Availability for emergency calls 24 hours a day.
  • Capacity to work up to 12 hours per day, seven days per week.
  • Valid HI driver’s license within three months of assignment to a customer plant.
  • Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and up‑to‑date condition.
  • Accept additional job tasks assigned by the Service Manager or direct supervisor.
  • Project proper personal image of self and JBT Marel.
  • Provide own hand tools.
  • Work independently.
  • Communicate issues to supervisor or Service Manager promptly.
